Notes for Kitty Closson
Henry Stevens and Ellen Gano Stevens lost 3 very young daughters during an epidemic of diptheria. One son, John, disappeared at the age of 21 - probably ran away after an argument - never returned. William tried tracing John, but could not locate him. William died in 1943 still following leads. A sister, Ada, married Carroll Closson and they had 2 children: Kitty & Wayne. Ada moved to Tallahassee, Florida about 1930. Wayne became crippled after being in an accident in his young teens. He married Ruth ___ & they adopted one boy, Carroll (Wayne died about 1970). Kitty married Frank ______ and they had 2 girls. Kitty is institutionalized because of a brain disease (died in 1980). Aunt Ada is about 86 now (no date given), still very active - she drives her own car. Aunt Ada died in April 1977 at home of sudden flu complications. Doris Milelli notes (608)
